Project Description
The Fred Hollows Foundation engaged me to work with them on developing their second Global Governance Roadmap over a ten month period. The FHF is an international NGO based in Australia. Their vision is to end avoidable blindness.
Some of the major themes of the global governance strategy exploration included increased localization, a greater internationalization of their board, and learning from their current international entities about how these entities might best be structured and operate going forward. My work included interviews with a range of stakeholders for their thoughts on these issues and others. Together with these interviews, experiences from other international NGOs and my own experiences, I advised the lead board and staff members on the development of the new roadmap.
I also facilitated two virtual workshops with members of the FHF network from eight countries to obtain input on the draft global governance roadmap.
This project included assistance with:
- Organizational development
- Global outreach strategies, research and planning
- Facilitation of multi-national and multi-stakeholder groups
“You helped us grapple with the complex messy stuff of how to build and bind entities together and how we think about what impact we are having individually and as a collective. There are very few people in the world of NGOs who have your experience in this area.”
